Residents are encouraged to attend activities away from the home and these include, swimming, attending the gym, horse riding, bowling, walking, cycling, days out, cinema, pottery, arts & crafts, computers, Zumba, sewing and knitting and meals out, as well as we encourage them to undertake work experience. The objective is for them to integrate into the community and participate in meaningful day time activities.
Similar activities are carried out at home and service users are encouraged to carry out independent living skills, which are incorporated into their daily schedules. Trips to the theatre, parks, pub lunches, shopping and day trips also take place. All the residents living at Ellasdale Road have very active involvement and input from their parents and families who visit them on a regular basis.
