Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to join our family owned, construction team based in Havant. This is a busy and varied role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple tasks and enquiries simultaneously.
The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative and communication skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software, and previous experience within the construction industry.
Duties
- Managing the day-to-day running of the office
- Handling incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries
- Providing administrative support to management and site teams
- Maintaining accurate records, spreadsheets, and documentation
- Coordinating schedules, meetings, and on-site team resources
- Quoting for works, raising purchase orders and dealing with supplier invoicing
- Supporting project administration and general office processes
- Placing orders with suppliers and negotiating preferred rates
- Maintaining the company fleet (vans and cars) through a third-party provider
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors professionally and efficiently
- Ensuring the office operates smoothly and efficiently at all times
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles
- Previous experience within the construction industry is essential
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Strong leadership qualities with the capacity to motivate team members
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office management software
- Previous experience working with Sage software is an advantage
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and organisational needs
- Ability to multi-task within a fast paced construction environment

Pay: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
