Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and in their own homes. The successful candidates will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those in their care, ensuring they receive respectful and personalised assistance. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, promoting dignity and independence.
- Support clients with medication management and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive relationships.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Help with light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organising personal spaces.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in condition to senior staff.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Driving licence is preferred but not required to commute to work or errands.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong communication skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism at all times.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals in their daily lives.
Pay: Up to £14.50 per hour
