Associate Surveyor - Valuation

An opportunity has arisen in our Gatwick Valuation team for an experienced and highly motivated individual to become part of our successful and expanding office. This role offers excellent career development prospects, working with a strong list of prestigious clients and instructions.
By joining our Valuation team, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a broad range of valuation and advisory services across commercial and residential sectors. You will be responsible for delivering accurate property valuations for loan security, financial reporting and taxation purposes.
Responsibilities:
Delivery of consistent, accurate and timely valuation advice for clients
Remain current and abreast of new legislation, evolving RICS standards and technical changes relevant to valuation
Prepare reports and advice, proof-read the reports of others. You are as responsible for the end product as the originator.
Ensure the correct use of templates, provide constructive feedback before, during and after and assist the development of colleagues in this area.
Proactively and appropriately share knowledge, information and contacts both for the benefit of the wider business and to support personal and team business plans
Secure new instructions with both internal & external collaboration partners.
The ideal candidate will have:
RICS accreditation (MRICS or FRICS)
Registered Valuer status
Good leadership skills with the ability to motivate and help a team towards achieving success.
Experience of taking primary responsibility for undertaking valuations of commercial and residential property from acceptance of instruction through to report delivery.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing client and stakeholder relationships.
Knowledge/understanding of proprietary valuation software.
Analytical and strategic thinking skills, adept at business planning and financial management.
High levels of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical practices.
A good understanding of RICS valuation standards and best practice relating to property valuation.
Agile and adaptable, capable of managing complex client needs and dynamic market conditions.
