About the Role
At Tomorrow's Women, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to make positive changes in their lives. As a Community Payback Supervisor, you'll play an important role in supporting women to complete meaningful community projects while developing their confidence, practical skills, and motivation for the future.
You'll supervise small groups of women completing unpaid work as part of their community sentence, creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where they can contribute positively to their local community. You'll lead by example, encouraging teamwork, promoting wellbeing, and helping women recognise the value of their work and the skills they are developing.
This is a practical, hands-on role that combines project supervision with coaching, encouragement, and positive role modelling.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Community Payback Supervisor, you will:
- Lead and supervise community work projects, ensuring activities are completed safely and to a high standard.
- Welcome women at the start of their placement, providing clear inductions and explaining expectations in a supportive and encouraging way.
- Deliver daily briefings, ensuring everyone understands the tasks, has the equipment they need, and feels confident to take part.
- Create a positive working environment where women feel respected, motivated, and able to succeed.
- Support women to build practical, employability, and teamwork skills through real work experience.
- Encourage attendance, engagement, and successful completion of Community Payback requirements.
- Carry out dynamic risk assessments and ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used safely and responsibly.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork promptly.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, partner organisations, and criminal justice professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
- Promote Community Payback as an opportunity for individuals to give back to their communities while building a more positive future.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with women and believes in the power of encouragement, accountability, and second chances.
You'll ideally have:

- Good practical skills and confidence working outdoors or across a variety of community projects.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to motivate others while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
- Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions on site.
- An understanding of health and safety and safe working practices.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- A full UK manual driving licence, as you will be required to transport unpaid work groups to and from community projects.
- A commitment to equality, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice.
- Subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
Training and Development
We'll support you to develop your skills through training, including opportunities to achieve or work towards:
- First Aid training
