Overview
The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background, practical mechanical or tooling knowledge, experience supporting production teams, and the ability to deal with suppliers, repairs, calibrations, basic facilities issues and operational improvements. This is hands on role.
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, factory leadership, press shop, tooling, maintenance or works foreman role.
- Experience or understanding of press tooling, industrial power presses, plant and factory equipment.
- Ability to support and coordinate people in a factory or warehouse environment.
- Practical understanding of maintenance coordination, equipment repair and facilities support.
- Good understanding of health, safety and quality requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 would be beneficial.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in mechanical design, fabrication processes, and manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of press machinery.
- Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis and implementing continuous improvement strategies.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and convey technical information clearly.
