Production Operative – Extrusion
Location: Elsham Wold Industrial Estate, Brigg, DN20 0SP
Pay: £13.95 per hour (averaged pay of 42 hours per week) + overtime (time and a half, double time Sundays/bank holidays)
Shift Pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off (12-hour shifts, 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)

The Role
As a Production Operative in our Extrusion Department, you’ll be part of a busy manufacturing team producing blown film polythene, primarily used in food packaging.
You’ll take part in a two-week training programme to learn the basics, after which you’ll be responsible for operating your own production line. There are opportunities to progress to higher-grade operator levels, with additional technical training and increased salary potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate extrusion machinery safely and efficiently to meet production targets
- Fill raw material bins with the correct grades
- Read job specifications and customer notes to ensure accuracy
- Take samples and carry out quality checks against customer requirements
- Record quality results on the computerised system
- Safely palletise finished products and move to storage areas
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
- Follow all company Health & Safety rules at all times
- Report issues promptly to the Shift Supervisor

- Reliable and punctual, with a positive work attitude
- Own transport (due to rural location)
- Able to manage manual tasks and 12-hour shifts
- Previous factory/manufacturing experience desirable (full training provided)
- Flexible to cover additional overtime shifts
