About The Emberlie Foundation
The Emberlie Foundation exists to empower women to rebuild confidence, develop practical skills and create brighter futures following significant life challenges. Our long-term vision is to support women through education, personal development and employment opportunities that enable lasting independence and financial security.
We are currently building the foundation and are looking for passionate professionals who want to contribute their expertise to something with real purpose. Every volunteer plays an important role in helping us grow our reach, strengthen our impact and create more opportunities for the women we support.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced recruitment professional(s) to join Emberlie Foundation on a voluntary basis.
This opportunity is intentionally flexible. We welcome applications from:
- An experienced 360 Recruitment Consultant who enjoys managing the full recruitment lifecycle; or
- Two specialist recruiters who would work collaboratively:
- Business Development Recruiter – securing new clients and vacancies.
- Candidate Recruitment Partner – sourcing, engaging and placing high-quality candidates.
Our ideal volunteer(s) is someone who can quickly become operational with minimal supervision. As this is a volunteer opportunity with flexible hours, we are looking for someone who already has an established professional network and the confidence to build relationships and create opportunities from the outset.
This role offers the chance to shape and develop Emberlie Foundation's recruitment function from the beginning, helping us expand our network, strengthen partnerships and support the Foundation's long-term sustainability.
Purpose of the Role
Your role will be to help establish and grow the Foundation's recruitment offering by building relationships with employers and placing candidates into suitable positions.
The recruitment function will play an important part in supporting the Emberlie Foundation as it grows, helping to build valuable partnerships while contributing towards our wider mission of empowering women through confidence, skills and future employment opportunities.
As the Foundation develops, we will be creating a pathway where the women we support can benefit from the relationships and opportunities established through this work, connecting them with employers who share our values and believe in helping people succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on whether you undertake a 360 recruitment role or a specialist position, responsibilities may include:
Business Development
- Develop relationships with new employers and hiring managers.
- Generate new recruitment opportunities.
- Build a pipeline of vacancies across a variety of sectors.
- Promote the Foundation's recruitment services.
- Develop long-term partnerships with organisations aligned to our values.
Candidate Recruitment
- Source and attract suitable candidates.
- Build and maintain talent pools.
- Screen applicants and conduct interviews where appropriate.
- Match candidates to client vacancies.
- Manage candidate relationships throughout the recruitment process.
Full 360 Recruitment
- Manage both client development and candidate delivery.
- Negotiate offers and manage the recruitment process from vacancy through to successful placement.
- Maintain excellent relationships with both clients and candidates.
- Work collaboratively with the Founder to develop and shape the recruitment function as it grows.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous recruitment experience (agency or in-house).
- Can work independently and take ownership of the role.
- Has an established professional network and enjoys building lasting relationships.
- Is proactive, self-motivated and organised.
- Communicates professionally and builds trust quickly.
- Believes in the mission and values of Emberlie Foundation.
- Wants to use their professional skills to make a meaningful difference.
Experience in business development, account management or executive search would be advantageous but is not essential.
