We're looking for a Communications Officer to join our team and help deliver high-quality internal and external communications that support our customers, colleagues and communities across Somerset. What You'll Be Doing
- Creating engaging content for digital, print and social media channels.
- Writing news stories, articles, briefings and campaign materials.
- Supporting internal communications that keep colleagues informed and engaged.
- Promoting services, projects and achievements across the organisation.
- Working with managers and teams to develop clear and effective communication plans.
- Monitoring communication performance and identifying opportunities to increase engagement.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
- Confidence managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience creating content for websites, newsletters and social media.
- A creative, proactive approach and a passion for delivering great customer-focused communications.
