Chilli Bees Catering is looking for reliable, hardworking Event Drivers / Porters to join our freelance events team.
We cater for weddings, private parties and corporate events across London and the surrounding areas. This is a varied, hands-on role, combining driving with warehouse, logistics and event work.
The Role
As an Event Driver / Porter, you will help make sure our events are properly prepared, delivered and cleared down. Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving Chilli Bees vehicles to events, suppliers and other locations.
- Picking and packing equipment and supplies at our warehouse.
- Loading and unloading vans safely and efficiently.
- Delivering and collecting equipment, food, drinks and ice.
- Helping with event setup and clear-down.
- Moving tables, chairs, kitchen equipment, crockery, glassware and other event equipment.
- Checking event equipment and quantities to make sure nothing is missed.
- Returning and organising equipment at the warehouse after events.
- Keeping vehicles, equipment and work areas clean and organised.

- Comfortable with manual work and lifting equipment.
- Confident driving a van.
- Safety-conscious and responsible.
- Professional when dealing with clients, venues and suppliers.
- Happy working as part of a team and getting stuck in wherever needed.
You will need to hold a valid UK driving licence
Previous experience in events, catering, hospitality, logistics, warehousing or a similar role is useful but not essential. The right attitude and reliability are more important.
What We Offer
£20 per hour
Freelance event work with a varied schedule across London and surrounding areas.
You'll work as part of a friendly, hands-on team and gain experience across a wide range of events and venues.
Important
This is a practical role and can involve early starts, late finishes, loading and unloading vehicles, manual handling and working at busy events.
Drivers are responsible for following all road and parking regulations. Any parking tickets, traffic fines or other penalties resulting from the driver's actions are the responsibility of the driver.
