Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Food Trailer Team Members. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, and ensuring the smooth operation of our mobile food service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team delivering quality food experiences at various locations.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of food items according to company standards
- Assist with food assembly and presentation to ensure quality and consistency
- Take orders from customers, process payments accurately, and handle cash or card transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the trailer, including food preparation areas and serving stations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing any queries or concerns
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, serving, or restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
- Experience working in a kitchen or culinary setting is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
- A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills
