Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Renderer and Plasterer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying plaster, render, and other finishing materials to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the durability and aesthetic appeal of various structures, supporting our commitment to excellence in construction and renovation projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of skills including masonry, carpentry, and fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of plaster and render materials
- Mix plaster, render, and other finishing compounds accurately according to project requirements
- Apply plaster and render using hand tools such as trowels, hawks, and floats with precision and efficiency
- Use power tools for mixing, cutting, and shaping materials as needed for complex finishes
- Follow schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to achieve specified designs and textures
- Coordinate with team members to integrate plumbing, electrical wiring, roofing, welding, and masonry components seamlessly into finished surfaces
- Conduct quality inspections during application to ensure smoothness, uniformity, and adherence to safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in plastering, rendering, masonry, or related construction trades
- Strong knowledge of construction painting techniques and surface preparation methods
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as trowels, floats, knives along with power tools for mixing and surface finishing
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and blueprint reading for precise application work
- Ability to work safely with roofing materials, plumbing fixtures, welding equipment, electrical components, and fabrication tools
- Experience in carpentry for framing or structural adjustments related to finishing tasks
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA standards is preferred
