About us
The Padel School is one of the largest and most trusted online padel training platforms in the world. We help players in over 100 countries improve their game through expert coaching, structured training programmes and a growing digital membership.
We have built the product, grown an audience of more than 650,000 players and shown that people will pay for what we offer. What we are looking for now is someone who can help us turn our marketing strategy into consistent, well executed activity.
The role
We already have clear priorities and experienced strategic direction in place. What we need alongside that is a capable, well organised and hands-on digital marketer who enjoys taking an agreed strategy and getting it delivered properly.
You will look after the day-to-day growth marketing activity that brings in qualified traffic, leads, trials and new members. In practice, that means moving work through the full cycle, from idea to brief, to assets, to launch, to measurement, to learning, and into the next iteration, without the founders needing to chase each step.
What you will do
Turn strategic briefs into campaign plans and get them live
Coordinate paid advertising across Meta, Google and YouTube
Brief and manage creative production through to delivery
Build and improve landing pages
Set up and run email campaigns and automations, as well as manage commercial brand partnerships
Organise structured testing and sales campaign experiments
Keep tracking and analytics accurate and reliable
Brief and manage specialist freelancers, including graphic designers, video editors and developers
Review results and feed what you learn into the next campaign
What we are looking for
A solid working knowledge of digital paid advertising, particularly Meta, Google or YouTube
Experience with landing pages and conversion
Email marketing and automation experience (Active Campaign is a plus)
Enough direct response copywriting ability to write and assess hooks, headlines and calls to action
Comfort with analytics and customer acquisition metrics
Experience briefing creative and working with freelancers or agencies
Strong project management and follow through
Good judgement on copy and creative, including being able to tell genuinely strong work from generic AI output
You do not need to be an expert media buyer, copywriter, designer and developer all at once. You do need to understand each area well enough to coordinate it sensibly, recognise good work and keep specialists pointing in the same direction.
Who this might suit
You may have worked inside a small digital business, an online education company, an ecommerce or subscription business, or a digital agency.
You could currently be a Digital Marketing Manager, Growth Marketing Manager, Performance Marketing Manager, Senior Digital Marketing Executive, an agency Account Director, or an experienced freelancer looking for a permanent role.
You are comfortable being hands-on, you are well organised, and you see things through. You communicate clearly, you are confident with numbers, and you enjoy getting work executed properly.
An interest in padel or racket sports is a bonus rather than a requirement.
How we will measure success
In the first few months, success will mostly be about execution. Marketing commitments delivered on time, campaigns moving from decision to launch more quickly, contractors briefed clearly and managed well, reliable tracking and reporting, and experiments completed with the learning written down.
As the system becomes established, the role will increasingly be measured on qualified traffic, leads, customer acquisition, conversion and acquisition economics.
Location and working style
This is a fully remote role for someone based in the United Kingdom. You should be comfortable working remotely, communicating frequently and meeting the team in person occasionally where it is useful.
How to apply
Rather than a CV on its own, we would like to get to know you a little better.
Please send your CV or LinkedIn profile along with short answers to the three questions below. Applications without them are unlikely to be shortlisted.
- Tell us about one digital marketing campaign you personally helped move from idea through to execution. What exactly was your part in it?
- Tell us about a time you coordinated other people, such as designers, media buyers, developers or copywriters, to get a marketing project completed.
- Imagine a marketing strategist hands you three new advertising hooks to test next week. Briefly explain what you would do between receiving those ideas and having the tests live and measurable.
Please include examples of relevant work where you can.
