The Role
This is a field-based, customer-facing position covering commercial sites.
You'll be responsible for keeping essential refrigeration equipment operating efficiently, carrying out everything from planned maintenance and servicing through to reactive breakdowns and complex fault finding.
What you'll be working on
- Refrigeration packs
- Cold rooms
- Bottle coolers
- Under-counter fridges and freezers
- Display cabinets
- Blast chillers
- Other commercial refrigeration equipment
Your responsibilities will include
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
- Servicing and repairing commercial refrigeration systems
- Attending reactive breakdowns and diagnosing faults
- Identifying potential issues before they become costly failures
- Providing customers with technical advice and solutions
- Building strong relationships with clients
- Completing service reports and documentation accurately
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to current standards
You'll need:
- Proven commercial refrigeration experience
- F-Gas Certification – essential
- NVQ / City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience working in a field-based engineering role
