Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to drive various types of vehicles, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- CLASS 1 HGV license essential
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
