Job Summary
Warmatic Ltd are seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team on a permanant basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in gas installation, maintenance, and repair, ensuring the safety and efficiency of gas systems. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Commercial Gas Engineer will be responsible for providing high-quality service while adhering to all safety regulations and standards. You’ll carry out servicing, fault-finding, repairs and minor installations on a range of commercial heating systems across sites such as schools, offices, care homes, retail outlets and public buildings.
You will be working both independently and occasionally as part of a small team, covering a patch mainly the Midlands and Southern areas of England
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in commercial properties.
- Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform welding, plumbing, and assembly tasks as required for gas installations.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and installations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their gas systems.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines while performing heavy lifting and working in various environments.
Skills
- Proficient in welding techniques relevant to gas systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Experience with plumbing tasks related to gas installations.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in the industry.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary for equipment handling.
- A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for the transportation of materials and equipment.
