Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Owner Driver Self-employed, where you’ll take charge of delivering exceptional service while enjoying the flexibility and independence of running your own operation. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers to leverage their skills in a rewarding environment, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer interactions. As an owner-operator, you’ll be at the forefront of our logistics network, driving growth and efficiency with your expertise.
Northamptonshire areas only
start 6 AM
Finish between 2-5PM
MAXIMUM 80-90 STOPS PER DAY
same route daily (Permanent route base)
Minimum 2 days on road training must be completed with one of our experience staff
100% delivery compliance must be followed
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of delivery vehicles to transport goods efficiently and reliably to designated locations
- Manage your own schedule to optimize delivery routes and meet customer expectations
- Load and unload cargo, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Communicate clearly with clients, dispatch teams, and support staff to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each shift
- Uphold safety protocols and comply with all traffic laws and company policies during operations
Requirements
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong track record of safe driving and punctuality
- Valid driver’s license with relevant o point driver endorsements or certifications
- Experience in commercial driving environments, demonstrating knowledge of road safety and vehicle handling
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics processes is advantageous
- Ability to perform lifting safely when handling cargo or equipment
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Strong organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and handle paperwork accurately
- Must own a MWB high roof or LWB van
- Rental van can be arrange with a cost
