Operations Manager – Save With Scaffolding
Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000–£50,000 per year (depending on experience) + Performance Bonus

Save With Scaffolding is a small but growing scaffolding company based in Castleford. We currently operate three scaffolding teams and are looking for an Operations Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business.
This isn't just an office job. You'll be working closely with the owner to help manage the company, support the scaffold teams, improve systems and play a major part in growing the business.
Our goal is simple – to build one of Yorkshire's leading scaffolding companies. We're looking for someone who shares that ambition and wants to help make it happen.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for keeping the business running smoothly every day, including:
- Planning and scheduling all scaffolding work.
- Managing the day-to-day running of the scaffold teams.
- Speaking with customers and resolving any issues professionally.
- Booking jobs into the diary and coordinating schedules.
- Carrying out regular site visits.
- Managing vehicles, equipment and the scaffold yard.
- Ordering materials and keeping stock organised.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new staff.
- Managing staff performance and carrying out reviews.
- Dealing with disciplinary matters and, where necessary, hiring and dismissing employees.
- Improving company systems and processes.
- Helping win new work and grow the business.
- Working closely with the owner to improve efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience working within the scaffolding industry.
- Is organised, reliable and able to make decisions without needing constant direction.
- Can confidently manage scaffolders and deal with the challenges that come with running busy site teams.
- Isn't afraid to have difficult conversations and hold people accountable.
- Has experience recruiting, developing and, where necessary, dismissing staff to build a strong team.
- Is commercially minded and always looking for ways to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Has the ambition and drive to help grow the company.
- Leads by example and earns the respect of those around them.
- Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
