Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs during service
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas
- Organise ingredients and supplies to facilitate efficient kitchen operations
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Support stock rotation and inventory management as required
- Assist with washing up, cleaning utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen appliances
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking, or culinary tasks will be considered a plus
- Familiarity with working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is beneficial
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills within a professional culinary setting
