Valerie's Tearoom aims to offer a quality service with freshly made produce including coffees, teas, cakes, scones, light lunches and traditional afternoon teas. Valeries Tearoom is open 7 days a week between 9am and 5pm so the chosen candidate will not need to work evenings.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Tearoom Senior Deputy Manager to assist with the management and day to day operation of our very busy Valerie's Tearoom.
The ideal candidate is someone who is friendly, approachable, outgoing and someone who wants to deliver the best customer service. This is not an entry level position and as such you must have previous experience working in a tearoom or coffee shop either as a shift leader or manager.
The chosen candidate will already be barista trained and confident making every different style of coffee on a traditional style Espresso machine at high volume. You will feel comfortable managing members of staff, being able to deal effectively with customer issues, should they arise and be happy to lead by example to coach and train the team. Valerie's is a popular tea room and as such you should also be able to cope under pressure when it gets busy.
The chosen candidate will be required to work most weekends and will work 5 days out of 7 on a weekly rota. Shifts can vary from 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm on a daily basis. You will report to the Tearoom Manager. The contract is based on 40 hours per week.
In order to be considered for this role you must have previous management experience in a similar size and quality of outlet.
In addition to the above you will be a key holder for Spanish City, you therefore must be comfortable with this extra responsibility.
