Overview
We are seeking a passionate foodie chef to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, and a drive to work with the best seasonal ingredients. A background in hospitality kitchen environments is a must, we are a friendly family owned business. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace. Hours will include one day at the weekend, no evenings and a 35-40hr week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and optimise guest satisfaction.
- Assist head chef in developing new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences.
- Maintain a positive working environment that encourages creativity and professionalism.
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
