About Us
Fanbase Intl Ltd is a UK manufacturer of knitted scarves, hats and other products for leading football clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leicester City and Aston Villa. Our sales, design and production teams work closely together to take products from initial idea and design through to manufacture and delivery.
About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking to add another Knitting Machine Operative to our production team.
Previous knitting experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. However, experience working with production machinery, particularly within knitwear, textiles or a similar manufacturing environment, would be highly desirable.
This is a hands-on role within a busy, fast-paced production environment. A strong work ethic is key, and we are looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable, mechanically minded and able to maintain high standards of quality while working at pace.
Experience operating Stoll and/or OPEK 365 knitting machines would be a significant advantage, although applicants with experience operating other types of industrial or production machinery are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor industrial knitting machines safely and efficiently.
- Set up jobs, load yarns and complete production changeovers.
- Monitor production and identify knitting faults or quality issues.
- Carry out basic machine adjustments and fault finding.
- Assist with routine machine maintenance.
- Maintain strong production output while meeting required quality standards.
- Keep machines and working areas clean and organised.
- Work with the wider production team to meet priorities, deadlines and production targets.
Skills & Experience
- Experience operating production or manufacturing machinery is desirable.
- Previous experience within knitwear, textiles or a similar manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
- Good mechanical awareness and an ability to learn how machinery operates.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and quality.
- Reliable, hardworking and proactive.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to work shifts.
- Willingness and ability to learn new machinery and processes.
Desirable Experience
- Experience operating Stoll and/or OPEK 365 knitting machines.
- Previous industrial knitting experience.
- Knitting machine programming experience.
- Experience setting up machinery and completing production changeovers.
- Experience within knitwear, scarf, hat or similar textile manufacturing.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has a hardworking, practical and proactive approach.
Previous knitting experience would be beneficial but is not essential. For the right person, we will provide training on our machines and production processes.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with machinery, learning new skills, responding quickly to problems and helping keep production running efficiently as part of a growing team. Machine Operative
