Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable 1st & 2nd Fix Carpenter to join our growing team. The role involves working on a variety of residential and commercial projects, including both local and out-of-town sites. You will carry out high-quality carpentry work while working independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of 1st and 2nd fix carpentry to a high standard.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
- Install doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, staircases, kitchens, flooring, and other joinery items.
- Complete structural timber work, stud walls, roof work, flooring, and other 1st fix tasks.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite.
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
- Travel to local and non-local project sites as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and plans.
- Competent in the use of hand and power tools.
- Good spoken and written English to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and site managers, and to understand drawings and health and safety instructions.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to both local and non-local projects.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work in a range of site conditions.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
- CSCS Card is desirable but not essential.
