About the role
In this exciting role you will work in the Housing Options Team and play a fundamental role in supporting households to both access the private rented sector and sustain their subsequent tenancies. You will also be the first point of contact for private landlords wishing to let their properties through the Councils HomeChoice Plus Rent Deposit Scheme and offer advice and guidance to them in letting out their homes. Furthermore you will be responsible for promotion and marketing of the Council’s scheme and coordinating the twice yearly Landlords Forums.

About you
- Experience of working in private rented sector lettings, Housing, Benefits, Social Care or a related field would be desirable.
- You must be able to work well as a team member, although you will at times be out of the office working on your own conducting home visits, property viewings and attending meetings.
- Good interpersonal skills are essential in this role in order to work confidently and sensitively with households in often difficult situations, as well as with private landlords and other agencies, in attempting to resolve clients’ housing situations.
- It is also important to have excellent organisational skills and attention to note taking and detail as this role is a job share.
