About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and experienced self-employed electrician to join our growing team at Cobham Electrical Contractors. The role will primarily involve the installation, testing, and commissioning of domestic EV (Electric Vehicle) charging points at customers' homes.

Key Responsibilities
- Install EV charging points at domestic properties.
- Carry out electrical testing, inspection, and commissioning.
- Complete all installation paperwork and certification accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with the latest BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
- Communicate professionally with customers and the office team.
- Work independently while representing the company in a professional manner.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent preferred).
- Valid ECS or CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Own van, tools, and testing equipment.
- Public Liability Insurance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience installing EV chargers, including brands such as Hypervolt, Ohme, Zappi, Andersen, Easee, Wallbox, and Pod Point.
- Experience working on domestic electrical installations.
- Ability to work efficiently, troubleshoot issues, and solve problems on-site.
