Role: Skilled Landscaping Operative
Location: Mirfield (travelling to housing developments and commercial sites)
Hours: Full Time, Monday–Friday (occasional overtime available)
Pay: £14.00 per hour
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Skilled Landscaping Operative to join a well-established landscaping business based in Mirfield. This Skilled Landscaping Operative role is ideal for someone with experience in soft landscaping who enjoys working outdoors and delivering high-quality landscaping projects across housing developments and commercial sites.

The Role:
- Carry out soft landscaping including turf laying, seeding, planting and mulching
- Prepare planting beds and improve soil conditions
- Water and maintain newly planted areas
- Install and repair fencing and gates
- Complete minor paving, edging and general hard landscaping tasks
- Operate landscaping tools, machinery and equipment safely
- Load and unload materials and maintain site organisation
- Work as part of a small team to complete projects safely and to a high standard
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
The Requirements:
- Previous experience in soft landscaping, ideally on housing developments
- Good knowledge of planting, turfing and landscape maintenance techniques
- Experience installing and repairing fencing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Desirable:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- CSCS Card
- PA1 & PA6 certificates
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Landscaping or horticultural qualifications
- Experience operating landscaping machinery
