Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years/Childcare Qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or similar childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Passion for supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to promoting child welfare.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Room Leader to join our welcoming team at Bliss Childcare and Nursery School in Southfields.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced early years professional to take the next step in their career — leading a room, mentoring staff, and helping children thrive during their most formative years. You'll create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can learn, develop, and reach their full potential.
Key Person Duties
- Act as key person for a designated group of children
- Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families
- Provide regular updates to parents/carers on progress and wellbeing
- Support each child's individual learning and development needs
Safeguarding & Welfare
- Promote safeguarding and child welfare at all times
- Follow nursery policies to ensure children's safety and wellbeing
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
- Support daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care, and nappy changing where required
Teamwork & Leadership
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding childcare and education
- Support and mentor room staff, contributing to a positive team culture
- Contribute to the nursery's continuous improvement
- Take part in training, team meetings, and professional development
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years/Childcare Qualification (essential)
- Previous experience in a nursery, preschool, or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS 2024 framework
- Sound understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
- A caring, positive, and enthusiastic approach to early years education
