We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shop, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors. This position requires a proactive individual who can communicate effectively and assist customers with their needs.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the shop and provide assistance as needed.
- Maintain an organised and tidy shop environment, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
- Assist customers in locating products and answering any queries regarding merchandise.
- Process transactions accurately at the till, handling cash and card payments.
- Restock produce
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to maintain shop standards.
- Friendly and approachable demeanour, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is an advantage but not essential.
