T3 Training & Development is growing — and we’re looking for a motivated Business Development Consultant to help us develop employer relationships and convert apprenticeship opportunities across the construction, built environment and wider AEC sector.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in sales, customer service, recruitment, employer engagement or business development who is looking to build a career within apprenticeships and training.
You’ll be working closely with our Business Development Director, marketing team, delivery team and enrolment team to respond to employer enquiries, develop new relationships and support employers from initial conversation through to confirmed apprenticeship starts.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Business Development Consultant, you will:
- Respond to employer enquiries generated through marketing activity
- Qualify leads and identify suitable apprenticeship and training opportunities
- Follow up with employers via phone, email, LinkedIn and CRM activity
- Build positive relationships with employers and key decision-makers
- Develop your own database of prospective clients through research, networking, outbound emails and telephone calls
- Consult with employers to understand their workforce, recruitment and skills needs
- Promote apprenticeship solutions that align with employer goals
- Support employer meetings and presentations, both virtually and face-to-face where appropriate
- Use HubSpot, Apollo and other systems to manage activity and pipeline
- Work towards a target of 5 apprenticeship starts per month
- Support the full sales journey from enquiry through to enrolment
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need to have:
- Experience in sales, customer service, business development, recruitment or employer engagement
- Confidence speaking with employers and building professional relationships
- Strong communication, follow-up and organisational skills
- The ability to work towards targets and follow a structured recruitment process
- A genuine interest in apprenticeships, training and employer workforce development
- An interest in working with employers across construction, the built environment or wider AEC sector
- Good CRM and pipeline management habits
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Previous experience in apprenticeships, training, recruitment or education
- Knowledge of apprenticeship funding, including levy and non-levy funding
- Experience using HubSpot, Apollo or similar sales/CRM tools
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards such as Civil Engineering, Construction, Design or Project Controls
- An existing network of employer contacts within construction or the built environment
Location
Ideally, you will be based within a commutable distance of Telford or our HQ in Barnsley.
The role will involve in-person working, with flexibility where appropriate.
