Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Scaffolder Part 2 to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding structures on various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced scaffolders to utilise their specialised skills in a dynamic environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. A background in related trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry is highly advantageous. Responsibilities
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with technical drawings and safety regulations.
- Inspect scaffolding regularly to ensure stability and safety throughout the project duration.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to facilitate seamless workflow on-site.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble scaffolding components.
- Fabricate custom scaffolding parts as required to meet specific site needs.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all materials are stored securely.
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to minimise risks on site.
- Assist in training junior team members when necessary, sharing expertise in scaffold assembly.
Requirements
- Valid Part 2 Scaffolders Certification recognised within the UK construction industry.
- Proven experience in scaffolding, with a strong understanding of relevant safety standards.
- Skills in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or fabrication are desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in scaffold erection and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans accurately.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights and carry heavy loads safely.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Commitment to health & safety regulations and best practices on site.
