Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic FOH Floor Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers and hostesses, to deliver outstanding customer experiences
- Oversee food service operations, ensuring timely and accurate food presentation in line with quality standards
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover for maximum efficiency
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the premises
- Assist in training new staff members on service procedures, food presentation, and safety protocols
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to uphold excellent service standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive team environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or hotel environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service and handle challenging situations professionally
- Previous barista experience or culinary background is a plus but not essential
- A proactive attitude with strong communication skills and attention to detail
