Deputy Nursery Managers & EYT
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Cedars Nursery is an independent, family run nursery business started 30 years ago, with large nurseries in Newcastle and Sunderland, providing the highest standards of nursery care.
We now have a rare opportunity for two deputy Managers to join us, one in Newcastle and one in Sunderland. The successful candidates will provide professional leadership, ensuring the nursery offers the highest quality of education, care and a nurturing environment, meeting all regulatory standards while promoting children's early development.
For our EYT we want someone who can spark imaginations, and help children thrive by ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and the nursery’s policies and procedures. Someone who can support and mentor the nursery team, promoting a positive, collaborative, and professional culture.
All successful candidates will exude a personality that will create strong, trusting relationships with families and external agencies, supporting each child’s development and wellbeing, ensuring the nursery is always prepared to achieve highest standards in Ofsted inspections.

- Salary of between £31,000 -£33,000pa for a four-day working week of 38 hours (4 x 9.5 hours daily)
What you need to bring:
- Must be well qualified to above NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a UK recognised early years qualification. For EYT level 6 and above
- Excellent understanding of EYFS
- Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children
- Some leadership experience within a nursery setting - preferably for at least three years
- An enhanced DBS (or DBS that we can then enhance)
- Great communication skills
