Senior Barber
Job Overview
We’re looking for an experienced and confident Senior Barber to join our team.
We need someone who is comfortable with all aspects of modern barbering, from skin fades and beard work to longer, scissor-based styles. You must be confident sectioning and layering hair, as we want someone who can work with different hair lengths, textures and styles rather than only short cuts and fades.
You’ll be working in a busy, friendly shop where giving clients a great haircut and a good experience is the priority. As a senior barber, we’d also expect you to set a good example in the shop and be happy to help less experienced members of the team when needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality haircuts, skin fades, beard trims and styling
- Be confident with scissor work, sectioning and layering longer hair
- Understand how to work with different hair types, textures and face shapes
- Listen to what clients want and offer advice when they’re unsure
- Provide a friendly and professional experience from start to finish
- Keep your station and equipment clean and organised
- Manage appointments efficiently and work well during busy periods
- Help and support junior barbers with techniques and development
- Keep up with current barbering and men’s hair trends
- Recommend suitable styling and aftercare where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
- Strong barbering experience with a good standard of cutting
- Confident sectioning and layering hair
- Strong scissor and clipper skills
- Experience with fades, tapers, beard work and longer hairstyles
- Good attention to detail
- Friendly, confident and easy to talk to
- Reliable and professional
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a busy barbershop environment
- Someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about the finished result
We’re looking for someone who already has a strong foundation as a barber but is also interested in continuing to improve, keeping up with new styles and becoming an important part of the team.
Pay: £25,420.00-£52,000.00 per year
