We are seeking a Commissioning Manager based in Bristol to be part of our growing team.
| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of all M&E commissioning activities across the project(s), ensuring successful delivery in line with programme, quality plans and client requirements.
- Manage and coordinate specialist commissioning subcontractors to ensure compliance with project objectives, specifications and programme milestones.
- Attend and contribute to project meetings, providing regular progress updates, reports, and commissioning status information to key stakeholders.
- Maintain professional and positive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project teams, representing the company to the highest standards at all times.
- Review, comment on and approve commissioning method statements, inspection and test plans and associated commissioning documentation.
- Witness testing, commissioning and performance verification activities on site, reporting findings and driving timely resolution of identified issues.
- Monitor and review the quality of M&E installations throughout the construction phase, identifying defects, non-conformances and risks that could impact commissioning activities.
- Liaise and coordinate with utility providers to facilitate service connections, testing and project delivery requirements.
- Manage water treatment activities, including pre-commission cleaning, sampling and handover requirements.
- Review and provide technical input on the design of building services systems, ensuring commissionability, operability and compliance with project requirements.
- Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, project stakeholders and the professional team, while maintaining effective communication with your line manager.
- Manage and monitor trade contractors' commissioning obligations, ensuring works are planned, executed and completed in accordance with the project scope and programme.
- Lead the coordination, integration and management of commissioning, testing and system validation activities across all M&E disciplines.
- Support the development and implementation of commissioning strategies, programmes and handover plans to achieve a smooth handover process.
- Ensure all commissioning records, test documentation and handover information are compiled, reviewed, and issued in accordance with project and client requirements.

- Ability to understand system complexities to ensure the correct resource and development areas are allocated accordingly
- Must have substantial project management experience
- Hands on experience in Mechanical and Electrical installation/commissioning activities
- Excellent team working skills
- Highly developed organizational skills and ability to multi task
- Good computer software skills required (particularly, Microsoft Excel & Outlook)
- Strong problem - solving skills with a tenacity to work through high volume information to resolve discrepancies that may arise
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise and advise staff at all levels
- A professional and assertive manner to deal with external and internal enquires
- To be flexible and work as part of a team.
