Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Help chefs with basic cooking tasks as required, contributing to meal preparation.
- Support the delivery of ingredients and supplies to the kitchen as needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste.
Skills
- A keen interest in food preparation and the culinary arts.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
