Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and exceptional service. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensure food safety standards are upheld. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and following recipes accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Help with food safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Support the team during busy periods by performing various tasks as directed by the head chef or supervisor.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, meal assembly, and kitchen safety practices.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
