Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of food operations within a super exciting new immersive Art installation experience coming to Westfield Shepards Bush. As the sole food partner Dass Hospitality are recruiting a team to deliver fantastic food in a fast paced high volume environment working in partnership with the venues existing teams.
You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional food quality, maintaining high standards of food safety, and fostering a positive, efficient kitchen atmosphere. Your leadership will drive the success of daily food production, coordinate food preparation and serving activities, and uphold our commitment to delivering great food and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, preparation, cooking, and serving processes
- Lead, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high standards of performance, teamwork, and professionalism
- Maintain food standards
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimize efficiency without compromising quality.
- Train new team members on cooking techniques, food presentation, safety procedures, and customer service expectations
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of dishes to guests
- Be comfortable and understand the need for efficient and accurate financial reporting, profit margins and accounting.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting with supervising responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of food production, food preparation, and serving standards
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse culinary team
- Experience in restaurant operations with a focus on kitchen management and food safety compliance
- Familiarity with culinary practices including food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and inventory control
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams and maintain client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Be personable and able to work our clients as well as staff members.
We are looking to recruit with an early - mid September start date before the site goes live in October. The site is a 7 day operation mainly daytimes with some evenings. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch and run a unique food offering and join an established and growing company.
Pay: £15.50-£17.50 per hour
