Central Care is looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our growing domiciliary care team. This rewarding role involves supporting adults to live independently in their own homes while maintaining their dignity, choice, and quality of life.
We are particularly seeking individuals who can speak Punjabi, Urdu, and/or Hindi, as many of the people we support communicate in these languages. Your language skills will help us provide culturally sensitive, person-centred care and build meaningful relationships with service users and their families.
No previous care experience is required – full training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidates.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Provide personal care, including support with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Assist individuals in accordance with their personalised care plans and preferences
- Support with medication following company policies and training
- Prepare meals and drinks while respecting cultural, dietary, and religious requirements
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and reassurance
- Assist with household tasks to help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
- Support individuals to attend appointments, access the community, and participate in social activities
- Monitor and report any changes in health, wellbeing, or support needs
- Maintain accurate care records using our digital care systems
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues
What We're Looking For
✔ Fluent in Punjabi, Urdu, and/or Hindi
✔ Kind, patient, and respectful attitude
✔ Good communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Reliable and committed to providing high-quality care
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Willingness to complete mandatory training and professional development
✔ A full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential
