Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager to work along side our management team and oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food and beverage quality, maintaining safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in driving sales, managing inventory, and upholding the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise bar staff, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen personnel, ensuring efficient team management and excellent service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality standards in line with health and safety regulations.
- Manage daily operations of the bar, including opening and closing procedures, stock control, and cash handling.
- Develop innovative drink menus and promotional offers to attract new customers and retain existing clientele.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, licensing laws, and hygiene regulations across all areas of the establishment.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any issues promptly to enhance guest experience.
- Organise staff training programmes on service excellence, food safety, and responsible alcohol service.
- Maintain a clean, organised environment in accordance with health standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with suppliers to manage inventory levels effectively while minimising waste.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality setting, preferably in bars or restaurants.
- Restaurant experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the hospitality industry.
