Overview
We are seeking a polished, personable, and detail-oriented Barista to join our vibrant team within a luxury private members’ wellness club & café. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for exceptional service and a refined approach to crafting high-quality beverages in a fast-paced yet elevated environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise across a premium offering, including speciality coffees, artisanal teas, matcha, and nutrient-led smoothies, while working in a sophisticated and welcoming setting. Previous experience is preferred; however, full training will be provided for the right individual.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a curated selection of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffee, premium teas, ceremonial-grade matcha, fresh smoothies, and wellness-focused drinks, ensuring exceptional consistency and presentation.
- Deliver a high standard of personalised service, engaging with members in a warm, professional, and attentive manner.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in line with luxury hospitality expectations.
- Support light food preparation, including assembling refined snacks and wellness-oriented offerings.
- Operate POS systems efficiently, handling transactions with accuracy and discretion.
- Maintain a pristine and well-organised workspace, ensuring all equipment and service areas reflect the club’s premium standards.
- Manage multiple orders seamlessly, maintaining composure and precision during peak service periods.
- Uphold all health and safety standards in accordance with company policies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience in a high-end café, hospitality, or members’ club environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with speciality beverages such as matcha, alternative milks, and wellness drinks (e.g. smoothies, protein blends) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Experience in customer-facing roles within hospitality, with a focus on delivering elevated service.
- Excellent time management and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident handling of transactions with strong numerical accuracy.
- A calm, composed approach under pressure with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication skills and a naturally warm, member-focused attitude.
