Job Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Front-of-House team members to join our 100% vegan canteen and food store. We are hiring one full-time and one part-time team member to serve food, prepare coffee, and operate the till. As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring smooth operations for both the canteen and food store, all while promoting our commitment to plant-based, cruelty-free dining.
Responsibilities
- Serve delicious, plant-based meals and beverages to customers with a friendly and attentive attitude.
- Prepare high-quality coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Operate the till for both the canteen and food store, handling transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Assist customers with menu inquiries, making recommendations based on their preferences and our 100% vegan offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including dining spaces and the food store.
- Help restock and arrange products in the food store, ensuring everything is well-presented and accessible.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service, creating a positive and welcoming environment for all visitors.
- Assist in maintaining health and safety standards in both the canteen and food store.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a front-of-house or customer service role is preferred, but not essential. Coffee trained is a must
- Passion for 100% vegan food and sustainability.
- Friendly and approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with coffee making and operating a till is a plus, but training can be provided.
- Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
