Job Title: Wedding and Events Manager
Company: The Sessions House
Location: Spalding, Lincolnshire (PE11 1BB)
Job Type: Full-time (Annualised Hours Contract - 1,820 hours/year)
Salary: OTE £35,000 (£23,660 Base + Commission + Quarterly Bonus)
Overview
The Sessions House is a premium, multi-purpose historic venue in the heart of Spalding. We host a diverse, high-volume calendar of events, ranging from bespoke weddings and private life celebrations to corporate bookings and live ticketed events.
We are looking for a dynamic and highly organized Wedding and Events Manager to take ownership of our events pipeline. This role is heavily focused on venue sales, client relationship management, and meticulous pre-event planning, with targeted on-the-day coordination required specifically for our premium wedding packages.
The Role & Annualised Hours
This role focuses on driving venue sales, converting enquiries, and ensuring seamless handover to our operational teams via detailed run sheets and pre-event coordination.
Contract Flexibility: This role operates on an Annualised Hours Contract of 1,820 hours per year (averaging 35 hours per week). This provides the flexibility needed for the events industry, allowing you to work more hours during peak seasons and fewer during quieter months, while receiving a consistent monthly salary.
Please note: The majority of our weddings and events occur at the weekends, and a significant portion of the sales process (handling enquiries, conducting venue viewings) happens during evenings and weekends. The successful candidate must be fully cognizant of this and comfortable managing a flexible schedule to capture these sales.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay: £23,660 per annum (equivalent to £13.00/hour over 1,820 hours).
- Commission: 4% commission on Wedding Venue Hire (capped at £200 per booking) and a £25 flat fee commission per Private Event booking.
- Quarterly Bonus: A £250 bonus paid every quarter upon hitting performance and conversion KPIs.
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): Based on our current benchmark volume, projected earnings are £35,000+.
- Paid Overtime: Any mutually agreed hours worked beyond the 1,820 annualised contract will be paid additionally at the standard £13.00/hour rate.
