Job Summary
Join our vibrant hospitality team as a Bar Staff/Waitress, where your energy and enthusiasm will create memorable experiences for our guests. In this dynamic role, you will serve drinks and food with a friendly smile, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain a lively atmosphere. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help keep operations running smoothly, making every guest feel welcomed and valued. We are a venue with both a bar and restaurant area, showing sports and serving food.
We are due a refurb in October, where we will be closed for three weeks. We want someone to join our team who is ready to take on a new challenge, and join our team on our new adventure!
The shift patterns include: weekends, evenings, and day time shifts depending on the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately for drinks and food, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit
- Prepare and serve beverages responsibly, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and responsible serving practices
- Assist in setting up the bar area, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness to uphold hygiene standards
- Manage multiple tables efficiently by prioritizing tasks with effective time management skills
- Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills, including giving correct change and processing payments
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any requests or concerns to enhance their experience
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling, alcohol service, and workplace safety
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; we welcome eager learners ready to grow in the industry
- Strong knowledge of hospitality principles, including excellent serving skills and customer engagement
- Understanding of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining high-quality service
- Good communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
