The Role
We have an excellent opportunity to join our manufacturing team at our carpet production site in Poynton.
This is a specialist machine operative role, focused on operating advanced textile equipment including tufting and warping machinery. The position offers the chance to develop highly transferable, niche skills within a long-established manufacturing environment.
Due to the nature of the machinery, this role involves structured, long-term training to achieve full competence. We are therefore looking for individuals interested in building a stable, long-term career in manufacturing rather than short-term production work.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor textile manufacturing machinery, including tufting and warping equipment

Work to production targets while maintaining high quality standards

Follow detailed operating procedures and safety guidelines

Carry out basic fault identification and escalate issues where required

Support day-to-day production activities to ensure smooth operations

Undertake Forklift Truck (FLT) duties (training provided if required)
About you
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, motivated, and willing to learn a specialist skill.
You will ideally demonstrate:

A strong interest in mechanical or manufacturing processes

Willingness to undertake structured, long-term technical training

Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain focus

Reliability and a strong work ethic

Previous experience in a manufacturing or textile environment is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Working Environment

The role involves working in a hands-on manufacturing environment

Duties include manual handling and standing for extended periods

Full training and support will be provided
Working Hours - 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:00
Flexibility required for alternating shift patterns between 06:00 – 17:00 depending on business needs
