Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual for the role of Delivery Driver. This position involves transporting goods efficiently and safely while ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to handle physical demands associated with delivery tasks.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and heavy lifting.
Skills
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is preferred.
- Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence suitable for the vehicle type.
- Experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
