Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative and Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves managing warehouse duties alongside delivering goods to various locations, ensuring efficient operations and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be organised, possess strong communication skills, and have experience in delivery driving and warehouse work. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
Our client base is normally with in 45 minutes drive of our Showroom although there is the occasional longer driver required.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading goods within the warehouse using appropriate equipment
- Preparing orders for dispatch accurately and efficiently
- Conducting vehicle checks prior to deliveries to ensure safety compliance
- Delivering products to clients in a timely manner across designated routes
- Assisting with stock organisation and inventory management within the warehouse
- Ensuring all delivery documentation is completed correctly
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse area
- Communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding deliveries or issues encountered during routes
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role, with valid driving licence (preferably <PERSON> driver)
- Experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of stock handling and organisation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling goods
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Competence in operating commercial vehicles, including lorries or vans suitable for deliveries
- Good organisational skills to manage schedules and routes effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehousing and driving activities
Pay: £13.00 per hour
