We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, tea, and light snacks, adhering to quality standards.
- Operate coffee machines and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
- Take orders from customers accurately and process payments using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen spaces, following food safety protocols.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts.
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering questions about menu items and dietary options.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or salads when required.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or familiarity with serving in a café environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
