Service: Children’s Home (2-bed)
Service Users: Young people aged 6–12 (EBD, trauma, neglect, CSE)
Staffing ratio: 2:1
Contract: Permanent, full-time (average 37 hours per week)
You must have:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within an Ofsted-registered children’s home
Completed or Enrolled on Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent, Level 3 in Health and Social is not equivalent)
A full UK driving licence and access to a car

We’re looking for a resilient, empathetic, and consistent role model who can help create a safe, nurturing, trauma-informed environment. You’ll support young people day-to-day, build healthy relationships, and engage them in meaningful activities (from crafts to cinema trips), while maintaining clear routines, boundaries, and high standards of care.
Residential Child Care Worker (Full Time)
Salary: £28,265 – £29,674 per annum
Sleep-ins: 1–2 per week (8 per month adds approximately £4,000 per year)
Pay per sleep-in: £50
Welcome bonus: £500 (where applicable)
You do not have a full UK driving licence and access to a car
You only hold Level 3 Health & Social Care (this is not deemed equivalent)
Your experience is only within healthcare (NHS/CQC) or early years/nursery settings
You require sponsorship (sponsorship is not available)
You have not worked in an Ofsted-registered children’s residential home
