PSV Workshop Supervisor - About the Role
As a Workshop Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the engineering workshop, ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest standards. You will lead a team of skilled engineers and technicians, manage daily workloads, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry regulations.
PSV Workshop Supervisor - Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of engineers and fitters
- Plan and allocate daily maintenance and repair tasks
- Ensure all servicing, inspections, and repairs are completed on time
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and engineering compliance
- Carry out quality checks and ensure accurate documentation
- Work closely with operations teams to maximise fleet availability
- Support ongoing training and development across the engineering team
PSV Workshop Supervisor - About You
- Qualified engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in PSV, HGV, Heavy Vehicle Engineering, or similar)
- Strong technical understanding of bus or heavy vehicle maintenance
- Previous experience in a supervisory or senior engineering role
- Confident communicator with strong leadership skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage a busy workshop environment
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
