Repairs Officer (Voids) Agency contract
Location: North Northamptonshire
Contract: Temporary (3-month rolling contract)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £28.73 per hour PAYE / £39.50 per hour Umbrella
Sanctuary Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Officer (Voids) to support a busy housing repairs service. This temporary opportunity is ideal for a skilled property professional with strong experience in voids inspections, repairs management, and contractor monitoring.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out detailed void property surveys, ensuring repair specifications are accurate, properties meet required standards, and works are completed safely and efficiently.
This is an officer and site-based role requiring someone who is confident working independently, completing inspections, identifying defects, and supporting the delivery of high-quality housing repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out void property surveys and produce detailed repair specifications.
- Complete site safety visits and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety requirements.
- Undertake work-in-progress inspections to monitor quality, progress, and standards.
- Complete snagging inspections and post-inspections following completed works.
- Identify defects, recommend remedial actions, and ensure repairs meet required specifications.
- Liaise with contractors, tenants, and internal teams to support effective repairs delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and inspection documentation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a repairs, property, housing, or maintenance environment.
- Previous experience managing or inspecting void property repairs is essential.
- Strong knowledge of property inspections, repair specifications, and quality standards.
- Experience carrying out site visits, contractor monitoring, and post-inspections.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Working Pattern:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
- 37 hours per week
- Office and site-based working
